The judicial investigation into the criminal case of former deputy Nazim Beydamirli has ended.
Oku.AzAccording to information from the Baku Serious Crimes Court, during the last trial presided over by Farid Namazov, Nazim Beydamirli pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and asked the court for his acquittal. After a brief deliberation, he was sentenced. Nazim Beydamirli was sentenced to 8 years in prison. It should be noted that in the previous process, the state prosecutor proposed to the court to deprive the former deputy of 9 years in prison.
It should be noted that former deputy Nazim Beydamirli was first charged with article 182.2.4 of the Criminal Code (extortion with threat, when committed with the aim of obtaining a large amount of property), then with article 182.2.2 (extortion with threat) ) was accused of the article.
Nazim Beydamirli participated in the investigation at the request of citizen Adalat Bagirov. It was noted that in Adalat Bagirov’s request to the police, N. Beydamirli claimed that he had embarrassing images of him and demanded 50,000 manats from him. On June 24, 2023, he gave 10,000 manats to N. Beydamirli, but said he would blackmail the complainant and his family and spread embarrassing images because he had not paid the remaining amount. N. Beydamirli was arrested following this request.
