Three rockets were fired towards the Victory base at Baghdad airport. Two were shot down by air defense forces and one fell. No victims reported
The US Victory military base at Baghdad airport came under rocket attacks, Shafaq News and AFP reported, citing sources.
“The Victory base at Baghdad airport was hit by three rockets, two of which were shot down by the base’s air defense forces and the third fell near the counterterrorism command headquarters.” a security source told AFP.
There were no casualties and the bombing did not affect air traffic.
According to Shafaq News, a second attack was also being prepared: a position from which the launch was planned west of Baghdad was found, but was destroyed.
