Vetusta Morla to bid farewell before temporary retirement with four reduced-capacity concerts

In April of this year, Vetusta Morla surprised their fans by announcing a “break,” a temporary hiatus until 2026 that they justified by saying they needed this break to “get stronger.” They did this shortly before releasing their new album, Figurantes, which came out a month later. Vetusta Morla also had all the commitments of the summer festival season. Of course, they said they would be the last ones until they returned from this break.

Finally, they have decided to say goodbye with four concerts that will mark a return to their origins, since it is about returning to venues with reduced capacity. Those where they grew up as a group before filling the Wizink Center or the Madrid Metropolitan on several occasions. These last four dates will take place in Barcelona and Madrid, in the famous Razzmatazz venues (on September 3 and 4) and in La Riviera (on September 8 and 9). The sale, exclusive to the Vetusta Morla community, will be activated next Wednesday, August 28 at 12:00.

The decision for this temporary separation was taken precisely during the recording of this latest album, and therefore the announcement meant that a canonical tour could not take place like the one they usually do, which is why these concerts are a way to close this stage that they want and that helps them regain energy. “We have been at a dizzying pace for many consecutive years. Composing, recording, touring, promoting and starting again. Constantly looking out the window, enduring the pressure of being there”, they acknowledged in a statement where they also described their position in this industry as “a privilege”, and the fact that they have managed during this period to “be able to live” from what they have been given. such as “do it with friends” and “keep the illusion”.

“Let’s protect ourselves from the human chopper that this industry and everything that surrounds it often is. The level of demand, musical and extra-musical, is, on many occasions, unhealthy. We need to separate ourselves to strengthen ourselves; “It’s a question of health,” they had declared then before announcing these last four nominations to their fans.
