The heavy rains and storms caused by a DANA (Isolated High Level Depression) that hit the Valencian Community this Tuesday forced the suspension of classes, the cutting of roads and the closure of outdoor public spaces in different municipalities.

The National Meteorological Agency has activated the red alert north of Valencia a day when the entire province is under orange warning due to precipitation, strong wind gusts and possible hail.

The Ribera Alta region has so far been the most affected by the torrential rains which caused flooding. In just over two hours, between 150 and 200 liters per square meter were recorded.
